Residential Energy Efficiency Services

CESC offers homeowners and renters a full range of energy efficiency home improvement services. They are absolutely free to residents who meet certain income qualifications or live in certain neighborhoods.

Energy efficiency improvements reduce utility bills and increase resident comfort. They also improve our community's reliance on clean energy resources and reduce green house gases.

As part of the program, we may be able to provide clients:

  • Attic insulation, weather-stripping, and caulking
  • Repairs to or replacement of hot water heaters and furnaces
  • Repairs to or replacement of doors and windows

Energy Tips

Update your exit signs.  Many older exit signs still use incandescent bulbs.  Newer exit signs use LED technology, consuming approximately 1/10th the energy of an older sign and lasting 10's of 1000's of hours longer.  For enhanced safety, consider getting LED exit signs with emergency back-up batteries and safety lamps.
