What happens when I participate in the Smart Lights Program?
Once you contact the Smart Lights Program, we will send you a one-page enrollment form for a no-cost no-obligation lighting analysis. When we get that completed enrollment form back from you, we will send out an independent lighting specialist who will assess your lighting needs, specify an efficient lighting retrofit, and estimate the energy savings of the retrofit. Then we will be able to tell you how much money you could save per year, how much the lighting retrofit will cost, what type of discount the Program will provide, and how much time it will take for the energy savings to pay for your investment. If you decide to do the retrofit, the Smart Lights Program will schedule the installation with a pre-screened lighting contractor. We will do quality control checks on the installation to make sure everything is installed correctly.

Energy Tips

Update your exit signs.  Many older exit signs still use incandescent bulbs.  Newer exit signs use LED technology, consuming approximately 1/10th the energy of an older sign and lasting 10's of 1000's of hours longer.  For enhanced safety, consider getting LED exit signs with emergency back-up batteries and safety lamps.
